As part of an agricultural drone shoot in Kampot province, our team‘s freelance photographer in Cambodia was also able to capture a variety of beautiful environmental portraits of the farm workers during harvest and at a nearby processing facility.
The small, organic-certified farm grows a selection of colorful blossoms, flowers and leaves that are used in fragrances and for flavorings. Close to a local lake, between the coastal provinces of Kampot and Kep, the agricultural outfit shares its picturesque location with many nearby pepper plantations. These are famous for their ‘Kampot pepper’, which is often regarded as one of the best peppers in the world by discerning food lovers and top chefs alike.
While most of our time was spent capturing aerial video and still footage for our client, we used stretches of down-time, while the drone was charging or the light not pleasing for aerial imagery, to create a series of posed environmental portraits of the workers employed on the farm and at the nearby dehydration facility.
